How I Style Neon Heels – 5 Looks For All Women

Hey there munchkin.

Neon heels? What do they remind you of?

Well guess what?

Loud, 80’s disco is all back in sister, but with a modern twist, as usual.

The neon heel has made a quiet entrance, with little excitement because the neon heel kind of never fully went away. For years, women were afraid of the neon heel. It was seen as an ‘attention seeking item’ or ‘hard to pull off’, but the neon heel has never been more featured in our outfits than the last year or so!

Ok, this is starting to sound like some sort of legend of the neon heel. I apologise.

On a more professional note, the neon heel shouldn’t be shied away from, but embraced. If you don’t know quite how to pull it off or what to pair with it, than read on my loves, I have a treat for you!

*Quick disclaimer: all ideas and outfits were put together by myself. Also, if you think these outfits are a little bland, that is my take on Neon heels, I think less is more!’

#1 ‘The laid back, but still in the mood’ look

When first experimenting with neon colours, it’s best to try keep the outfit quite neutral and plain. Unless you have the personality and the confidence to pull it off, don’t go mixing and matching crazy patterns and colours, you will only end up washing yourself out, which is a big no-no!

#2 ‘I’m going out’ look

This is the perfect way to show off a great tan and still look classy. Neon colours really bring out colour in the legs, while the black leather shorts neutralise the outfit, before it gets a bit colour crazy! White is an obvious choice of colour to pair with a going out outfit, easy on the eye and sophisticated. Less is always more!

#3 ‘I mean business’ look

Neon heels look great with a LBD. For a fun night out, add a gorgeous colourful clutch and your killer smile for the perfect look.

#4 This one is for my brave ladies

If you arn’t afraid of mixing colours that nobody else would think of, then this one is for you! I love matching colours that people would usually stray away from, but this royal blue/neon yellow/coral combination is fab! It may look a little scary here in a picture, but when worn on, with a good tan, it is beautiful! Trust me on this one if you are sceptical, just try on crazy colours in the store to see. You would be surprised what kind of masterpiece you would make!

#5 ‘The confident’ look

This one is my favorite out of the looks! I love this style trousers with a skinny heel, something about it just looks so flirty yet classy! Crop tops are a big thing this year, so I paired one with a gold choker and a black clutch to bring the whole look together! Perfect for a night out with the girls.

So that is all I have today for my take on neon heels! Please leave a comment if you have any other suggestions, I love to get inspiration from others!

If You Are Going To Splash Out…

Let it be this.

I worked in River Island for a small while last year, and the bags and purses have always captivated me. They make the most fashion forward and best quality bags AND they are always so unique which is what I love most about them!

So this season, they have launched the embellished clutch, and let me warn you ladies, this is no ordinary clutch.

It may look amazing here, but it looks even better in person! I saw it in store and believe me, that neon yellow is even more beautiful!

The clutch turned shoulder bag, retails for €45. A little bit steep but well worth the splurge if you are in need of a quality staple piece.

And guess what?

That’s not all they have!

Check out this cream embellished clutch.

And this one.

Oh, and this one too.

These clutches can all be turned into shoulder bags too, which is twice as nice! They are great for spicing up a little black dress or adding colour to a neutral outfit.

I will be picking up the neon yellow one out of my next pay check for sure!

Psst, click on the pictures to take you to the River Island site!

Yay For Inspiration! Fashion Inspo For A Trendy Lady

I love love love being inspired by other fashionistas. I believe inspiration keeps the world going around and therefore everyone should stare at other people on the street all the time.

I’m kidding.

But I really do love looking at other girls for inspiration. I do not condone coping, that’s bold. But being inspired and thinking,        ‘I never thought that would look nice that way! ‘ or ‘Wow, those colours look fab!’ is ok!

Pinterest is by far my favourite place to get inspiration. I get so much pictures from there, which ends up in my head so entirely stuffed with idea’s, that I go take a nap.

Really, that is how into it I get.

So with all that being said, here are some of my latest inspiration pictures so hopefully you will be inspired too!

(all are from Pinterest, all credit to the original fashionista)

First up, this dress.

This dress is fab! I love t-shirt dresses, so casual, so comfy and so cute! What inspired me is the colours. The dark with red pop is gorgeous with her hair colour, which is exactly like mine! Score!

These sunnies.

I am in love with round sunnies lately. I think they are so flattering and really bring out the shape of the face!

Maybe it’s just me, but I love em!

This top and hat.

This lady is genius. I would never have thought a backless top and a fedora would look so pretty! Thanks to her I will now try out those two together!

And finally, these casual outfits.

I am a lover of jeans and cons kind of outfit. A comfy sweater and good pair of denims and I’m good for the day! I love the navy with the red, the two really compliment each other, while that grey and black jacket are so simple yet chic!

Well that is all I have for the moment, I am sure there will be plenty more to come! Be sure to keep an open mind when being inspired and make it your own!

Thanks for reading! x
